Welcome on board

You might see me sitting and writing on a cruise ship. Right at the back in the lounge. That’s where I have my peace and quiet. Actually, I don’t really write there, that comes later. I’m making notes, maybe even small articles. About what?

Well, how my wife and I are doing on the cruise, day by day. What we did before the cruise and what we will do afterwards. Sometimes in great detail. And I don’t advertise any particular cruise line, but I do favour a few. If something doesn’t suit me, I’ll say so. A good example is our cruise to Greece. Recently, we didn’t like a lot of things, but there were also some nice moments. Take a look here: Greek islands, but no Greek wine

Describing cruises, however, can quickly turn into boring travelogues. That is not my intention at all. I will include my own photos and parts of what I have travelled through. If I go literary over time, people who enjoy reading novels will be pleased. But I always write about my own experiences.

Here I continue with all the cruises I have experienced, and because there are so many, I have organised them into volumes. With one exception, four cruises are described in each volume. But now to the menu.

For beginners, I have prepared one of the most popular river cruises, but I’m sure another time of year will also be suitable. So here it is: Advent on the Danube.
